As part of the Ramadan Project 2026, the Halymah Ibrahim Babangida (HIB) Foundation, in partnership with the Altruistic Foundation, has continued its street feeding outreach across communities in Minna, providing meals and support to vulnerable individuals during the holy month of Ramadan.
The outreach reached several communities, including Tungan Goro, Mekunkele, Dutsen Kura, and Gurara Junction, where volunteers distributed meals to fasting individuals, travelers, low-income families, and community members in need of support.
More than a food distribution exercise, the initiative created moments of compassion, connection, and shared humanity within the communities served.

“Ramadan reminds us of the importance of caring for one another, especially those facing hardship. Through this outreach, You hope to bring comfort, dignity, and relief to people within our communities.”
— Representative, AHAF
Volunteers from both organizations worked together throughout the outreach, serving meals and engaging directly with residents across the different locations.
For many beneficiaries, the meals provided not only eased the burden of fasting under difficult conditions but also served as a reminder that they are seen, valued, and supported.
Community Impact
Through the street feeding outreach, hundreds of individuals across communities in Minna received meals and support during Ramadan, helping to ease hardship and strengthen the spirit of community care during the fasting period.
The initiative also encouraged volunteerism and collective service, bringing people together around a shared goal of compassion and support.
Standing Together Through Compassion
The HIB Foundation and Altruistic Foundation believe that meaningful impact begins with simple acts of kindness and community support.

HIB Foundation Distributes 12,000 Bags of Water Across Niger State Communities During Ramadan
As part of its Ramadan Project 2026, the Halymah Ibrahim Babangida (HIB) Foundation carried out a large-scale water distribution outreach across communities and institutions in Niger State, providing relief and support to thousands of individuals during the holy month of Ramadan.
Branded with the Foundation’s identity, the water distribution initiative reached emirates and vulnerable communities across the state, including homes, Islamiyya schools, mosques, orphanages, police stations, and public institutions.
Over the course of the outreach, the Foundation distributed 12,000 bags of water, with approximately 400 bags shared daily across different locations.

In the intense afternoon heat and long fasting hours, the simple act of receiving water became, for many, a moment of comfort and relief.
At mosques and Islamiyya schools, children gathered around distribution points waiting patiently for water ahead of iftar. In hospitals and vulnerable homes, families expressed gratitude for the support during a period when even necessities can become difficult to afford.
For police officers on duty and caregivers in orphanages, the outreach served as a reminder that their efforts and sacrifices were seen and appreciated within the community.
“Water is one of life’s most basic needs, especially during Ramadan. Through this initiative, we wanted to provide not just relief, but also a sense of care and solidarity with communities observing the fasting period.”
— Founder, Halymah Ibrahim Babangida Foundation
Beyond physical relief, the initiative reflected the Foundation’s broader commitment to dignity, compassion, and community-centered support throughout Ramadan.
Community Impact
The distribution of 12,000 bags of water directly supported thousands of individuals across Niger State, helping to ease daily hardship during the fasting period and ensuring access to a basic but essential need.
By reaching mosques, schools, orphanages, vulnerable homes, and public institutions, the initiative strengthened community care and extended support to people across different walks of life.
A Simple Act, A Lasting Impact
While water may seem like a small gesture, for many families and individuals, it represented relief, kindness, and the feeling of being remembered during Ramadan.
The HIB Foundation remains committed to expanding community-centered interventions that respond to everyday needs with dignity and compassion.
